For those who want to try a little bit of everything all at once and have a few hungry friends with you who will split the bill: the “Fatass Platter” is the way to go for $84.
Known as a chef-driven bar, LuLu Bar is one of the jewels of Calgary’s restaurant scene.
Happy Hour, which they call “Honolulu Hour” offers half-priced drinks which go perfectly with bar snacks like salt & pepper pork belly ($7) and Hot Dog Bao ($10).
Some say Cleaver’s Happy Hour is unbeatable. Known for one of the best places to get a strong drink, Cleaver might be the best spot to go to after “one of those weeks!”.
The team is led by Executive Chef Barbara Spain from Dublin, Ireland. She is all about creating food and cocktails from scratch in a fun, trendy setting.
The Caesar Stack ($25) might be the item to try if you’re looking for something “out there”! But otherwise, Cleaver’s Happy Hour Menu features $5 burgers, $10 cocktails, $7 beers & wine.
As a side note: Happy Hour at Cleaver isn’t on over a Stat Holiday.
WYKYK: $25 for a bucket of Jasper Pilsner. Need we say more? The Calcutta is known to be one of the best happy hour spots in Calgary. With it’s Indian inspired menu and funky cosmopolitan interior, the Calcutta Cricket Club is well worth a visit.
Hot tip for new players: the mango G+T is magic in a cocktail.
