Breweries are a favorite in Vancouver at any time of the year, but especially in the summer.
Brewhall is known by Vancouverites as a great place to grab a fresh, local beer. The brewery itself focuses on collaborations with small-batch brewers with the brewing tanks running straight to the tap.

Cactus Club is a Canadian favorite with several locations across the lower mainland, all of which offer great happy hour deals.
The vibe at this Cactus Club location is fantastic and the views are incredible. It doesn’t get much better than being able to watch the seaplanes depart against the backdrop of North Vancouver’s mountains while you have a few sneaky post-work cocktails.
Come between 2 and 5 and grab a Longboard Lager and some mini crispy chicken sliders for only $14.25. But, if you want to try something new: Cactus Club’s flamed salmon aburi rolls are to-die-for and only $14.25.

Commercial drive is home to some great Vancouver happy hours. One happy hour you don’t want to miss is at Cannibal Café. This punk-rock-inspired space has happy hour written all over it.
Why? Everything on their happy hour menu is $5 including their classic junior burger and select sleeves of beer.
Their burgers are pretty special because they’re made with a custom, hand-ground blend of 3 cuts of BC Certified Organic beef: “Brisket for flavour, Short Rib for its rich marbling, and Chuck – ’cause he’s a nice guy”.
On the drinks side, there are 12 fresh draughts, 7 imported brews, wine, and cocktails to choose from.
Cardero's
Looking for a great happy hour with sweet outdoor dining? Try Cardero’s.
Cardero’s is one of our top picks for dining in Vancouver and also feature in our top Vancouver restaurant patios list. Sitting on their patio with a sleeve of seasonal draft or a Cardero Highball cocktail in hand is one of the most beautiful ways to end the working week.
We suggest a $5 sleeve of Stanley Park and $12 Bruschetta.
Coast Restaurant
Coast is an upscale seafood restaurant located in Coal Harbour.
They are another great Vancouver patio restaurant for people-watching as well as a daily happy hour from 2:30 to 5:30pm with specials like $6 Caesars and fish & chip cones for $9. Our go-to is the 2 pieces of cajun fish tacos ($10) paired with Cuervo Tequila highballs ($6).
Colony is a hip spot for no-nonsense drinks, a great place to watch sports, and lots of fun!
There are a few Colony locations across the GVRD but Main Street has such a great vibe.
Their happy hour includes classics like corn dogs, sleeves of beer, and even stadium nachos for just $5. On the drinks front, Colony’s Strathcona Lager does down nicely for $4.50

Hello Nori is Vancouver’s hottest sushi experience. The fresh and crispy nori contrasts to the warm fluffy rice to create a whole new way to eat sushi.

With its chic décor, to-die-for brunch, Honey Salt is a fantastic Vancouver happy hour location.

Italian food is a delight to the stomach and the soul.
Visit Italian Kitchen between 2:30 and 5:30 pm and indulge in a wide variety of Italian favorites. The much-loved restaurant was recognized by TripAdvisor as belonging in the Top 10% of Restaurants worldwide in 2021.
Make sure you try the limoncello sangria before you go, at $9 a glass it’s a steal!
Joe Fortes happy hour is another favorite in the city.
This renowned seafood spot has a large and bright space and some great food and drinks specials including a $9.95 Jumbo Tiger Prawn Cocktail and $8.95 crispy calamari.
Pair it with a glass of red, white, or rosé wine at just $1 an ounce.
JOEY has one of the best patios in the lower mainland, as well as a pretty extensive happy hour menu. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that they have one of Vancouver’s best happy hours.
JOEY offers meals at a slightly lower price, including a hand-pressed burger for $15.25. Compliment that with a $6.50 bellini and a sunset for an unforgettable summer night.

Next door to the Keefer Bar and tucked away in Chinatown is The Keefer Yard, a sweet little spot for year-round drinks with a few friends. Known for its nightly live music, cocktails, graffiti murals, fire tables, and mini-putt, The Yard boasts casual fun vibes with a twist for adventure.
